St Leger live on Sky Sports: Full runner guide and expert verdict to Doncaster Classic featuring New London

Mike Cattermole gives his expert verdict on the Cazoo St Leger and Doncaster's Saturday feature, the British Classic. The Cazaoo Classic is the world's oldest Classic, first run in 1776.

Trained by Aidan O'Brien, this colt has failed to kick on in his career. He made the frame in the Ballysax and Dante but didn't see it out in Listed company at Leopardstown last time.

David Egan made up a lot of ground to win the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot. Roger Varian lost his unbeaten record when finishing fourth in the Grand Prix de Paris. He is expected to get up to a head of steam in his attempt to take part in a second Leger for his yard at Town Moor.

Rossa Ryan and Kevin Philippart de Foy are going to the Doncaster Classic. New London is the favourite. St Leger is live on Sky Sports.

Daniel Tudhope and Paddy Twomey are the trainers of New London. New Linn is a progressive young horse from a young handler. He won on an easy surface at Cork on his last appearance.

Neil Callan and Marco Botti are going to race at Doncaster Classic. Marco won the race over a mile and three quarters at Newmarket. Neil Callans won at Haydock.

Derby runner-up New London is going to the St Leger. He was bought for £1.2m at Goffs London Sale and has performed well for new connections since. New connections are planning an assault on the Melbourne Cup.

Charlie Appleby's horse won the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood and the Chester Vase at Newmarket. Deauville Legend took the Great Voltigeur, third Hoo Ya Mal the March Stake, fifth Cresta dominant in a Listed contest at Windsor and sixth West Wind Blows landed a Group Three in France at the weekend.

New London was beaten on the line by Eldar Eldarov in the Queen's Vase. He broke the track record in Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury. The last two Leger winners to take the Newburys trial were Silver Patriarch in 1999 and Sixties Icon in 2008.

Emily Dickinson finished fourth in the Irish Oaks and third in Lily Langtry at Goodwood. Aidan O'Brien has only one win from seven starts.

New London is a new addition to the Doncaster Classic. She won the Galtres Stakes at York last time and she also won on debut at Wolverhampton. Ralph Beckett won this race with a filly a few years ago in Simple Verse.

Ivan Furtado makes his turf debut in the Doncaster Classic. New London won the Tapeta at Southwell last time.
