St. Louis Cardinals Organization All-Stars 2022

MiLB.com goes position by position across each organization and honors the players who had the best seasons in each farm system. Next up in our 2022 Organization All-Stars series are the St. Louis Cardinals.

Rodriguez posted one of his best seasons yet for Springfield. He hit 11 home runs, 50 RBIs, 33 runs and 47 walks in 68 games. Rodriguez threw out 28 percent of would-be basestealers and allowed just five passed balls.

Brady Whalen is a first-round draft pick of the St. Louis Cardinals Organization All-Stars 2022. He spent three seasons at Single-A and six at Double- A before he advanced to Springfield. Whaleen has a career-high composite slash line of .291/.370/.459/.829.

Nick Dunn started the season in Springfield, but he played well at second base. He posted a career-best .271/.379/.391/.770 slash line. Dunn also showed improved patience at the dish.

Jordan Walker is baseball's No. 6 prospect. He's a projected MLB player of 2024. Walker played 31 games in right field this season. The 20-year-old hit .306/.388/.510/.898 with 19 homers and 68 RBIs in 119 Double-A games. He led Cardinals Minor Leaguers with 100 runs scores. His best attribute is his ability to change positions easily.

Winn is the Cardinals' No. 2 prospect. He was selected to the All-Star Futures Game. Winn is also a plus-speed player with plus speed. The 2020 Draft pick hit .283/.364/.468/.832 with 12 homers and 63 RBIs in two levels.

Gómez was signed by the Cardinals on Nov. 5, 2021. He was promoted from Springfield to Memphis and hit 39 home runs. Alec Burleson played in the Senior Circuit last season and impressed. Scott Hurst played for Memphis in 2022 and had a career-high .399 on-base percentage. He also improved his defensive skills. The left-handed hitter played a lot in left and right. His .286 average, .434 slugging and .833 OPS were his best since 2018. St. Louis Cardinals Organization All-Stars 2022. They are in Florida.

Matthew Liberatore was drafted out of high school and made his MLB debut at 22. He was called up to St. Louis the same weekend as his childhood best friend Nolan Gorman. Liber atore has a 5.17 ERA in 22 Triple-A starts. The Cardinals are encouraged by the way Liberaion studies the game and prepares for each start.

Inohan Paniagua is a right-handed starter for the St. Louis Cardinals Organization All-Stars 2022. He went 6-4 with a 2.18 ERA in 17 starts for Palm Beach before getting promoted to Peoria. Poniagaua's ERA, WHIP and opponents' average led all Cardinals pitchers.

Andrew Marrero is a right-handed pitcher who played for Palm Beach in the independent league. He had a 1.27 ERA with 55 strikeouts and 21 walks in 35 1/3 frames across 32 appearances. Marrerro converted 11 saves in 13 opportunities.
