Arizona Fall League top teams
The Arizona Fall League is one of the best times of prospectdom. It concentrates some of baseball's best young talents in the Phoenix area for six weeks. Some organizations prioritize getting their players extra at-bats/innings, while others want their big names sharpening their tools before impending Major League debuts.
Jordan Walker is the top-ranked AFL prospect. Jordan Walker played the entire season at Double-A Springfield. Masyn Winn has a triple-digit arm and Tink Hence has no experience above Single- A.
Pittsburgh Pirates have three Top 100 prospects in Henry Davis, Quinn Priester and Nick Gonzales. Davis is the 2021 No. 1 overall pick. Gonzale's hit .380 in 19 games last year. Pryter is a plus pitcher with plus fastball and plus curveball.
Cincinnati Reds are sending Noelvi Marte and Matt McLain to Arizona Fall League. Marti has been playing for Spain in the World Baseball Classic qualifiers. McLains was acquired from the Mariners in Luis Castillo's blockbuster.
The Oakland Athletics have seven members of their top-30 going to Arizona. Zack Gelof is the biggest name of the bunch. J.T. Ginn, Ryan Cusick, Mason Miller and Colin Peluse are also in the top 30.
Arizona Diamondbacks have a good group of prospects playing in the AFL. Jordan Lawlar, Deyvison De Los Santos and others are good prospects.
