Stakes Winner Strummer Thriving As Cabin Creek Ambassador For Retired Racehorses

Strummer is a retired racehorse. He won his first stakes race in January 2006. Strummer is one of 16 retired horses that have found a new home at Old Friends at Cabin Creek in Greenfield Center, N.Y. His journey to his current home spanned 10 years. He was a New York homebred son of Phone Trick for original owners Edward C. Behringer and Thomas P. Murphy. They sold him to Nat Krohn. The last owner cared deeply for the horse. It was his second time racing outside of state-bred company.
