Stars and Predators Tied in Odds to Make Playoffs

The Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars are in the race for the final Central Division playoff spot. Nashville has moved into the last spot thanks to a stellar second half of the season. Dallas is two points back of Nashville. The Predators' and Stars' playoff odds are dead even.

Predators are a playoff contender thanks to the play of their goalie Juuse Saros. Nashville has a two-point lead on the Stars with five games remaining. Dallas has two games in hand. Predators have scored at least four goals in four of the past five matches. They are 21st in goals scored per game on this season.

The Dallas Stars are trying to make a late playoff push. They have been playing a very compressed schedule due to an early COVID-19 outbreak and a winter storm in Texas. Several of their top players are injured and one of them, Alex Radulov, was recently shut down for the season. The team has an 8-2-1 record over the past 12 games.

Predators host Dallas at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday. John Hynes’ team has taken four of the last five meetings with Dallas and won three straight against the Blue Jackets. Dallas has to play seven road games in 12 days. Nashville is coming on at the right time.
