STAT WATCH: 5 TD passes put Nix, Hartman in elite company

Bo Nix and Sam Hartman are the fourth and fifth Football Bowl Subdivision quarterbacks to throw for five touchdowns in multiple games this season. C.J. Stroud has thrown five TD passes in two games and six in another. Will Rogers has a game with six TD throws and another with a fifth. Drake Maye has two game of five or more TD. Weber State's long snapper Grant Sands put four snaps over punter Jack Burgess' head, leading to a Football Championship Subdivisions-record four safeties surrendered to Montana State. Miami committed eight turnovers in its 45-21 loss to Duke.

James Madison and Marshall combined for 24 punts. It was the most since East Carolina and Tulane totaled 26 in 2018. Sam Clark had all 12 punting for James Madison. John McConnell punted 10 times and Rece Verhoff twice for Marshall.

Jonathon Batzke's 91-yard punt against Buffalo was the longest in the FBS since Kaare Vedvik's 92-yards against Old Dominion in 2017. Bat zke had previously sent a 54- yard punt on October 15.

Jha’Quan Jackson”s 90-yard punt return touchdown for Tulane against Memphis was longest of the season in the FBS and second-longest in Green Wave history.
