Steelers vs. Bengals line, odds and predictions: Our experts like Pittsburgh to beat Cincinnati

No love will be lost between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers when the two meet in Ohio for this AFC North battle. The Steelers enter the matchup as a small favorite.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati. The game will air on CBS.

With Joe Burrow’s recent season-ending injury to his throwing hand, football in the jungle is about to look quite different. How different? It will have been nearly three years since a non-Burrow quarterback started and won a game for the Bengals. Ironically, one of the two wins came against Pittsburgh in that 2020 season. Cincinnati mucked that game up and may have to muck this one up as much as possible in order to steal a win over their division rival and stay in the playoff hunt. Getting some superstar performance on both sides of the ball from guys like Ja’Marr Chase and Trey Henderickson could also make newly-named starter Jake Browning’s job a little easier.

The Steelers specialize in mucking up games, too. All but two of their 10 games have hit on the under. The style is more of a result of what isn’t working on one side of the ball, which is a passing game that ranks second to last in the league at 170 yards per game and leaves much to be desired for the offense as a whole. Pittsburgh fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada on Tuesday, and Eddie Faulkner is the interim coordinator.

It’s the T.J. Watt-led defense that repeatedly keeps the team in games by turning over opponents at a high rate. Pittsburgh ranks No. 1 in the NFL with a +1.1 turnover differential per game.
