Steve Palmer's Hero World Challenge third-round preview, best bets, free tips

Viktor Hovland leads the Hero World Challenge by a shot going into the weekend at Albany, New Providence, Bahamas. Hvland won the tournament last year with an 18-under-par total. Scottie Scheffler is second, followed by Xander Schauffele, Cameron Young and Collin Morikawa. Jon Rahm is five shots behind with 36 holes to play.

Scottie Scheffler is aiming to reclaim world number one status at the Hero World Challenge. Viktor Hovland has a halfway lead at Albany. Tommy Fleetwood is second. Xander Schauffele is playing for the first time since October. Collin Morikawa is back hitting his irons and is good at this layout.  Fleetwood won the Nedbank Challenge last month and followed up with fifth place in the DP World Tour Championship. He is a favourite to win the tournament. The tournament is difficult to be bullish about as it has some top-class talent.
