FA Cup fifth round action gets underway in midweek, and the first kick off on Tuesday evening sees a Championship versus Premier League affair in Staffordshire, so read on for a full run down of team news, predictions and latest odds in our Stoke vs Brighton preview.

Stoke vs Brighton Preview

Brighton have registered two huge performances in this year’s FA Cup so far, first sweeping aside Premier League hopefuls Middlesbrough with ease in a four goal thumping, before snatching a dramatic injury time win against Liverpool in the fourth round to set up a tie with Stoke.

The Seagulls were rocked by the exit of Graham Potter who swapped the south coast for West London, but new manager Roberto de Zerbi has steadied the ship and the Seagulls remain on course for a shot at European football, with a win in their next league fixture enough to move them within three points of the top five.

The Potters, who host Brighton in the round’s earliest kick-off, are struggling in mid-table in the Championship having failed to score in five of their previous seven, but have so far managed to prevail in the FA Cup without any major upsets against two separate League Two sides; Hartlepool and Stevenage.
