Gambling ads are constant during the NHL and Hockey Night in Canada's playoff games. There's even a regular intermission segment called SN Bets Big Board. Wayne Gretzky is a brand ambassador for BetMGM and Auston Matthews has an endorsement deal with Bet99. The NHL investigated Evander Kane before the start of this season following accusations from his estranged wife that he had bet on San Jose games while playing for the Sharks. The investigation was not successful. He signed with the Oilers. Stu Cowan is tired of all the ads for online sports books and gambling apps.
