Tom Lunn has gone through the race cards, form, going and much more to help guide your horse racing betting choices.

Uncle Phil is an interesting runner after beating Gracchus De Balme comfortably at Listowel.

That was just his fourth start over fences and based on that performance alongside his win over Winter Fog puts him right in contention here.

But he does have to beat the other big shot in this which is Lucid Dreams.

The eight-year-old has improved over fences after winning his debut, before facing two Grade 3 contests but failing to finish in the top two in those.

Still though, he's got great form based off those and stepping back to 2m seems to be preferable to his previous efforts over 2m4f.

Trainer Willie Mullins has 141 wins here from just 597 runners in the last five seasons.

Which would point to Uncle Phil, who may not like the testing ground as much as Lucid Dreams, who won on heavy last time out.

Imagine of course is the odds-on shot, but can be sided against here at just five-years-old against the two more experienced horses.

The Cheltenham Festival Gold Cup winner is back for the first time since his surprise second place finish as the 4/11f here in the Punchestown Gold Cup in April.

The bookies don't fancy a repeat, and neither seemingly do the punters, who see Fastorslow who did win at Punchestown, drift in the prices.

It's very possible that that drop in form for Galopin, even though he still came a close second, was due to running three big races within three months and that can take a toll when running over 3m.

He will come back even better as a seven-year-old too, and is a very exciting horse to welcome back to see what he has to offer this year in the Grade 1's he will be going for.

Returned to hurdles this season after last being seen in this discipline back in April 2021.

And considering his chasing mark being much higher he still should have more to offer off this lower weight and his form behind Buddy One has been boosted now too.

Shown promise in tough contests over fences recently and may be even better back over hurdles again over this distance in a tough slog over 3m.

Autonomous Cloud under Paddy Brennan for trainer Fergal O'Brien should be the one to beat in the four-runner event.

He is as consistent as his main market rival and has suited the step up in trip remarkably well.

He beat Iron Bridge along with eight other rivals here in March and may just be one to look out for each time he runs this season now he's seven and progressing nicely in his work at home.

The O'Brien yard are going well and the conditions won't be an issue for this course and distance winner nor will they e for Broomfield Present.

Now won two in a row since going for a wind op in February returning this season looking stronger than ever.

Went up 8lb as a result of his latest victory over Risk Dargent despite carrying top-weight.

Now won three from his four runs over hurdles and should still be progressing throughout this season to see off these rivals.

The biggest danger would of course be King Alexander, who at just five-years-old has already showed huge promise over hurdles.

So it will be very indicative of the market this one before placing any bets on the day.
