Sunday racing tips: Angus McNae's best bets for Naas

12.57 Naas: Ramillies

There are only five runners in this Grade Three novice chase but it's still competitive.

Ramillies impressed on his chasing debut at Thurles last month, readily seeing off the useful Tenzing. His jumping was better than it had sometimes been over hurdles and it's probable that he will be a much better chaser than he was a hurdler.

Chemical Energy rates as the danger and he bolted up in a race that fell apart at Cheltenham last time out, but for me his jumping was sketchy - as it was on his chase debut.

He is a tough opponent but Ramillies looks more natural over fences and at around 9-4 makes appeal.

1.32 Naas: Aarons Day

I like this horse in this spot.

Aarons Day was out of his depth in the Grade One Faugheen Novice Chase last time but now drops into handicap company and looks worth supporting.

Prior to the run at Limerick he looked to be progressing well over fences, showing a good deal of promise without winning in four starts and consequently has a very fair handicap mark of 123.

The step up in trip to two and a half miles should be no problem given he won at this trip over hurdles.

2.42 Naas: Echoes in Rain

This Grade Three hurdle features Bob Olinger and he is sure to be popular, but I am not convinced by his response off the bridle in recent runs and I would rather be with Echoes in Rain.

She has won twice at this track, including at Grade Two level, and comes here with a tremendous chance.

She was getting into contention in the Grade One Hattons Grace Hurdle last time when falling two out and she had been keen early on in that two-and-a-half-mile contest. The drop to two miles here will be in her favour.

If there are any holes in Bob Olinger these days then she will exploit them.

3.17 Naas: Seabank Bistro

In a big field this horse will be a short price but I think he will be very hard to beat.

Seabank Bistro has only had two starts over hurdles and when last seen finished second to Corbetts Cross, who went on to land a handicap off a mark of 130. If Seabank Bistro is rated around 130 he should be able to land this maiden hurdle with little fuss.

His jumping improved from his first start to his second and he will likely be even better now. He should be very hard to beat for Willie Mullins who looks set to have a good day.
