Super Screener scores big with Arcangelo in the Belmont

Super Screener scores big with Arcangelo in the Belmont What an exciting finish to the final leg of the Triple Crown as Arcangelo held off a calvary charge of late runners to score the historic win making his handler, Jena Antonucci, the first woman trainer to win the Belmont Stakes. Arcangelo earned the 2nd highest Super Screener score and the highest Super Screener Long Shot score in this race making him a top "A" horse play that was prominently leveraged in suggested wagering strategies.

The Pletcher pair of Forte and Tapit Trice finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Considering Forte hadn’t run since April 1st he submitted a very impressive effort in defeat. A win in the Travers would certainly make a strong case for validating his status as the top 3-yr-old in the division. Hit Show and Angel of Empire dead heated for 4th. Less than a length separated the four horses that finished behind Arcangelo.  In the end it was a pretty good showing for the Super Screener’s four highest scoring horses.

The "A" horses were used prominently in the suggested wagering strategies as well as recognizing that horses with a superior pace profile typically hang around for a spot in the Trifecta. That approach paid off as suggested wagers combined to return over $1,500.

In addition to the Belmont Stakes, the Super Screener yielded solid results all day long on the Belmont Stakes undercard.  Here are a few of the highlights:

G2 True North - Top win contender, Elite Power easily wins the race and the Super Screener long top long shot pick, Anarchist, completes the Exacta at 12-1.

Suggested $20 Exacta paid $268.

G3 Poker - Conviction was high for Emmanuel as the Super Screener top win and top value pick and he prevailed at generous odds of 6-1. Recommended win and exacta wagers returned $570.

G1 Ogden Phipps - Search Results and Clairiere were the two Super Screener top win contenders. The suggested $20 exacta box returned $174.
