SuperBook Sports launches online sports betting in Virginia, its ninth state live in the US

Las Vegas-headquartered operatorSuperBook Sports has announced that it is expanding its online footprint into Virginia. The online sportsbook went live in the Old Dominion on October 19th, making it the company's ninth state of operation.

SuperBook Sports first began operating in 1986 in Las Vegas. Since then, the company has grown its footprint across the US after first expanding into mobile sports betting in Colorado in 2020.

Players in Virginia can now download the SuperBook app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store by searching for SuperBook Sports Virginia. They can also download the app directly from va.SuperBook.com.

Virginia users will gain access to betting options including major US sports competitions such as the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL. Additionally, players can also place bets on college sports and other international events including soccer’s English Premier League.

"We couldn't be happier with our continued growth. We are thrilled to be live in Virginia and feel confident that we have a great product with a strong history that will become a fast favorite of sports bettors in the region," said SuperBook Sports' CEO and Managing Partner Mark Lipparelli. "Sports fans in the region can find all their favorite teams and get in the action with some of the best sports traditions in the country."

The addition of Virginia brings SuperBook Sports' reach to nine states including Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and now Virginia. Also this year, the company began operating in Maryland, back in May

SuperBook Sports is based out of SuperBook Westgate Las Vegas. "Behind legendary odds makers Jay Kornegay and John Murray, SuperBook Sports has built a loyal and growing customer base," says the operator. "SuperBook continues to be known by sports bettors and the media alike as the go-to book for the best odds and information."

Jay Kornegay, Executive Vice President of Race & Sportsbook Operations at SuperBook Sports, expressed his excitement about the continued expansion and said he looks forward to being able to serve bettors across the Mid-Atlantic region.

"Going live in Virginia is a perfect complement to our quickly growing business in Maryland. With our heritage and the passion that fans bring to that area, it is sure to be a great fit," said Kornegay.

"We pride ourselves on our expansive menu and will have great offerings for everything from the Commanders to the Ravens and the Nationals to our proud partners, the Orioles."

SuperBook Sports now becomes the ninth operator to launch online sports betting operations in Virginia. The sportsbook joins competitors Bet365, Betway, BetMGM, Caesars, FanDuel, Fanatics, Hard Rock and BetRivers.
