Taiba Tops 28 Nominees To Pennsylvania Derby
Brad Cox nominated four horses to the Pennsylvania Derby. Peachtree stables' Tawny Port could make his second Grade 1 start after his seventh in the Kentucky Derby, while Gary and Mary West's Best Actor won the Grade 3 Smarty Jones on August 23. Gold Square's Cyberknife is also nominated. Interstatedaydream is one of three fillies nominated against the boys. The trainer won an Eclipse Award for Outstanding Trainer for his work in 2021. The race is held at Parx. Cox and his team made their debut with a fourth in last year's running with Fulsome.
