TCU: 1 fatal flaw vs. Michigan in College Football Playoff

The TCU Horned Frogs will play the Michigan Wolverines in the 2022 College Football Playoff at the State Farm Stadium. TCU football will participate in Vrbo Fiesta Bowl as the No. 3 seed. It's the first time the Horns have made it to the College football playoff. Last year, the Wolverine football team was happy to make the playoff and saw their season end after the Big Ten championship.

TCU football plays in the Big 12 and uses a 3-3-5 defensive system. They have a high-scoring offense, but their defense has been a weakness. Michigan's co-offensive coordinator admits that the Wolverines lack Big Ten expertise in dealing with a five defensive back approach. TCU's defense is ranked 58th in FBS, while Michigan allowed 25 points in one game this season. The defense also struggles against the pass, and against running. Michigan has a slight advantage in terms of forcing turnovers. It also has an advantage with the turnover ratio.

TCU is not experienced enough to play a Big 12-style defense.
