TCU no stranger to underdog role as title game against Georgia looms

TCU stunned No. 2 Michigan 51-45 on Saturday night in the College Football Playoff semifinals. The Horned Frogs are going to play for the national championship on Jan. 9 against No 1 Georgia in Los Angeles. TCU was picked seventh in a Big 12 preseason poll this year. Georgia is a two-touchdown favorite. Georgia won all four of the previous meetings between the two teams. Texas was the first team from the state to make the CFP in its ninth season. It won the 2009 regular season game against Alabama. They played in Memphis in December 2016. In that game, the Crimson Tide won 37-21.
