Templegate's Tote Placepot tips with £150,000 to be won at Sandown on Saturday

TEMPLEGATE has had a good look at Saturday's Sandown card and reckons he's found some Tote Placepot bankers.

SANDOWN SATURDAY

Leg 1 (1.50): Tough Enough, Alpha Capture

TOUGH ENOUGH took a big step forward when winning over course and distance last time. He had plenty left in the tank so should be able to cope with a 4lb rise.

Amber Island toughed it out to score at Leicester when last seen 88 days ago. The booking of James Doyle takes the eye and she’ll be thereabouts again.

ALPHA CAPTURE is tumbling down the weights and it would be no shock to see him run well for in-form William Haggas.

Leg 2 (2.25): Queen For You, Midnight Mile

QUEEN FOR YOU didn’t get home over 1m2f at York last time and will be much happier tackling a mile.

Getting hampered didn’t help and she was only five lengths off the pace in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. She has few miles on the clock and is capable of better.

MIDNIGHT MILE is another coming back in trip and she was a good third in the Rose Of Lancaster at Haydock latest. She was fourth at the Breeders’ Cup the last time she tackled this distance.

Leg 3 (3.00): Lord Protector, Gaassee

LORD PROTECTOR won well here two runs ago and put in a decent effort at Goodwood last time where the ground may not have been ideal.

Trainer Ralph Beckett is in flying form and he has every chance of another nice winner.

GAASSEE should be on the premises after a solid run at Ascot. The Haggas runner has had a little nudge down the weights.

Leg 4 (3.38): Aablan

AABLAN looked pretty classy when winning on debut at Newmarket in late July. He travelled smoothly and didn’t have to hit top gear in landing the victory.

Trainer Charlie Appleby won this race last year and has every chance of following up.

Leg 5 (4.10): Classical Song, Beautiful Love

CLASSICAL SONG looked a nice prospect when second on debut at Goodwood last time.

The ground was soft that day but, on breeding, there’s no reason why she won’t go in these quicker conditions.

BEAUTIFUL LOVE was unlucky in running at Newmarket when third on debut. He was green there and should take a step forward.

Leg 6 (4.45): Spanish Blaze, Savvy Kingdom

SPANISH BLAZE won well at Newbury two runs ago before another decent effort at Yarmouth last time. He looks on a low mark for this handicap debut.

SAVVY KINGDOM relished stepping up to this trip when winning at Kempton and will be a big threat if repeating that back on turf.
