The 1972 Miami Dolphins still have the NFL's only perfect season
Morrall was named the NFL MVP in 1968. He was claimed by the Dolphins in April 1972. In his first start, he beat the Buffalo Bills 24-23. The Dolphins beat Cleveland Browns in the first round of the playoffs. They then beat Pittsburgh Steelers in AFC championship game. Morrell started the game, but was replaced by Griese in second half. Griee led Miami to a 21-17 victory. The Super Bowl was held at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. It was the last one to be televised locally. NFL allowed it in 2010. it blacked out the previous six Superbowls in host market.
