The Bundesliga got it right after all

Bundesliga has shown that financial sanity and consistent work can still bring success in an era dominated by money. Barcelona's financial irresponsibility defies sound business sense. Barcelona is in a financial mess with debts reported to be in excess of €1.3 billion. The transfer spectacle is just as important as success on the pitch. German clubs should be proud for sticking to their 50+1 values.

Frankfurt qualified for the Champions League this season. Frankfurt's first two games were against Bayern Munich and Sporting Lisbon. Mario Götze and Randal Kolo Muani have been reinvigorated. They form one of the best attacking duos in the Bundesliga with Jasper Lindstrom.

Frankfurt are in the Champions League round of 16. Eintracht have a great management and a lot of fans. Man City, PSG and the French champions have failed to win the competition.

Bayern Munich won all three games in the Champions League group stage.

Bayern Munich are second in the Bundesliga, but they are still behind Union Berlin and Freiburg and Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund beat Manchester City twice this season. RB Leipzig beat Real Madrid and finished second in the Bundesliga. The Bundesliga is back. It just needed some time to compete with the overwhelming financial power elsewhere.  The reward for staying calm in turbulent times of European football is starting to pay off on the pitch.
