The NHL season has been full of drama so far. New Jersey Devils have looked like one of the best teams in hockey and the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche are struggling. There are still months left in the regular season so there's still time to take advantage of betting promotions.

Pittsburgh Penguins are outside the playoffs. The team's defense and goalie play has been abysmal. Eastern Conference upstarts are emerging around them. The New Jersey Devils have looked like one of the best teams in the league, the New York Islanders have found offense to complement all-world goalie Ilya Sorokin, and the Washington Capitals have shored up their goalkeeping.

Connor McDavid is the favorite to win the Rocket Richard Trophy. He has a huge advantage over the competition. He is coming off a career high 44-goal season in 2021-22.

Carolina Hurricanes are a team that is doing what it does: banking points and stymieing teams with its shutdown defense and a good goalie. Max Pacioretty is injured and will be out until at least February. Carolina is built to win come playoff time.
