Red Bull dominated the season with their drivers. They had some reliability problems but improved their car systematically. The team's pit stops were the best in the field and their strategies were mostly nailed on.

Nyck de Vries' performance at the Italian Grand Prix was the best individual performance of the season. De Vry's debut in Monza was exceptional. Charles Leclerc won the pole position for the second time in his career. He is the best qualifier in the field. His Ferrari car allowed him to exhibit this talent on Saturdays. Carlos Sainz was the main threat to LeClerc and Ferrari.

Lando Norris was McLaren's standout driver in the 2022 season. McLaren finished second in constructors' championship. Norris managed a podium outside of the top three teams. He was out-qualified only once by Daniel Ricciardo. He will be hoping for a leap in performance from his team next season and a maiden race win.
