The Queen absent from royal procession as it returns following pandemic

The Queen was absent from the royal procession on day one of Royal Ascot 2022 on Tuesday. She missed the Derby meeting that formed part of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The Queen has been successful in 24 races at Royal Atcot and has an interesting contender in the King's Stand Stakes (3.40) on Monday. The other contenders are Andrew Balding-trained King’s Lynn (12-1) and Perfect Alibi (4-2). On Thursday Saga (Britannia Stake), Reach For The Moon (Hampton Court) and Tactical (Buckingham Palace Stages) are also on show.
