The September window beckons for the CANMNT: Will there be any surprises?
The September window is almost upon us. Canada's upcoming friendlies are against Qatar on September 23rd and Uruguay on the 27th. Both games will be played in Vienna, Austria. There is some debate whether this last window before Qatar is a sensible time to introduce new players to the squad. John Herdman is unlikely to blood any uncapped new player. He will use the September games to further bond and prepare his team for the World Cup in November. For the first time in over three years, Canada’s games take place outside North America or the Caribbean. Milan Borjan, Maxime Crepeau and Dayne St. Clair are locks between the pipes for Qatar.
