The Tigers are second best in the MLB with a 2.84 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. The team's pitching coach, Chris Fetter, has transformed the entire staff into a machine. Juan Nieves, the assistant pitching Coach, is responsible for preparing the relievers.

Alex Lange has been a pleasant surprise for the Tigers bullpen this season. He has a 1.54 ERA, 2.37 FIP and 0.5 fWAR. His ERA is 16th best among relievers with at least 20 innings. Rob Friedman, better known as PitchingNinja, likes Lange's two-seamer.

Andrew Chafin has been a steady presence for AJ Hinch since returning from injury. He has the second best BB% among Tigers’ relievers behind Jason Foley. Chflin has arguably the team's best combination of stuff and control. He mixes his sinker and four-seam fastball with his slider to put hitters like Cole Tucker on their butts.

Gregory Soto has 11 saves this season, which is seventh best in baseball. He hasn't allowed a run since May 13. His FIP is 3.89, but his ERA has dipped to 1.80. Sato's fastball velocity is in the top 3% of all pitchers, his slider is under 40%, and he's in bottom half of the league in many other categories.

Will Vest was a Rule 5 pick by Seattle Mariners for 2021. He has been a revelation in Detroit's bullpen, striking out 36.8% of batters faced and walking only 7.4%. He didn't have projections from most major channels. His slider has the highest xBA among his three-pitch repertoire at .202.

Wily Peralta has a 0.89 ERA and is seventh-best in the major leagues among relievers. He's inducing weak contact, can go multiple innings and has stranded 94% of inherited runners. Pereta's presence and versatility is huge for the Tigers.

Michael Fulmer has been inconsistent this season. He's in the top 10% of the league in several statistics but his downfalls are his 4.50 BB/9 and chase rate. His curveball has an expected batting average of .019 and his slider's is at .138. Fuler has thrown just 26 sliders this year compared to 179 slider. All but one of them have been used against left-handed hitters.

Joe Jiménez is having his best season since 2019. Jason Foley has an ERA and FIP below 3.00. Rony Garcia has pitched a mix of long relief and leverage. Harold Castro's 6.14 Fip is better than his 9.000 ERA. He has the lowest K% among all Tigers pitchers at 12.1%. The 24-year-old has made three starts. He won't turn 25 until December. His average exit velocity, barrel %, HardHit% and xSLG are all in the first percentile.
