'The Winter Palace' Prime Video Review: Stream It Or Skip It?

The Winter Palace is about a romance novelist who takes a job as a winter caretaker at a chateau in the Rocky Mountains. She falls in love with the owner and writes her book about him.

Emily Miller's first novel, Romance In The Rockies, was a best-seller. She's been writing a new one since then, but she's not sure what to write about. Emily gets a job as a caretaker at a chalet in the mountains. On her first day there, Henry, the prince, arrives and changes her contract. Henry is a prince from a fictional land named Concordia. He's coming to Colorado to sell his family home. The contents inside the house are large animal sculptures that Henry himself has carved out of wood. The house is called the winter palace. It's named after Henry's uncle, Chauncey.

The film originally premiered in 2022 on Great American Family. The channel has recently come under fire for saying that the movies produced for the channel will only depict "traditional" marriages.

Henry abdicates his role at his coronation. He sees Emily from behind a flag and they kiss.

Neal Bledsoe plays Prince Henry. He is neither interesting nor malevolent. Blingsoa makes him likeable.
