TIF: Tampa Stewards Acknowledge Missed Call, Revise Procedures

Tampa Bay Downs has revised its procedures after an incident at the start of the third race there on November 25. The second favorite, #6 Cash Call Kitten, didn't open with the others and his chances were affected. More than $82,000 was staked on him. He finished fourth, beaten 11 lengths. The stewards accepted responsibility for not doing their job properly and will revert to their previous procedure of reviewing the starting of each race before making it official.
