In his last four starts, Reese Olson has been pitching like an ace: only 11 hits and four earned runs allowed in 24 innings, with a 1.50 ERA. Olson doesn’t have the stamina (nor the stuff) to get through a lineup more than twice, which means he will face Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and the rest of the Big Blue Wrecking Crew only a few times. If Detroit is lucky, Olson can hand a lead to the bullpen.
