Tim Donaghy is back in the spotlight thanks to Netflix documentary. Donghy was a referee in NBA and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to engage in wire fraud and transmitting wagering information to other individuals. He wrote a book about the scandal. FBI agent Phil Scala wrote the foreword for the book. Sean Patrick Griffin is a professor of criminal justice at The Citadel. He disputes many of Donough's truths about his role in betting scandal and claims he was pressured by Jimmy Battista. The NBA declined to participate in Netflix's documentary on the subject. It has been more than 15 years since Donugh's NBA betting scandals made headlines.
