Timbers sign Felipe Mora, Claudio Bravo to contract extensions
The Portland Timbers have signed Felipe Mora and Claudio Bravo to contract extensions.
Felipe Mora has signed a contract extension through 2025 with a club option for an additional year. Moro had to be shut down for the whole of last season due to knee surgery. The extension is also a reworking of his existing contract. The contract was bought down using Targeted Allocation Money. Head coach Giovannai Savarese is hoping Moran will be back in form in the future. He played just 78 minutes last year due for additional cartilage restoration surgery on the same knee. His lack of goalscoring ability was a problem for Portland in 2022.
Claudio Bravo has signed a contract extension with the Portland Timbers until at least 2026. The 23-year-old defender has become a key part of the team since arriving in 2021. He led the MLS in tackles won last season with 77 and topped the charts in interceptions, touches, and duels won during the regular season.
