Tips from the big bookies for Saturday, June 24

Here is this week’s edition of Tips from the Big Bookies.

Racenet's stable of bookies have got stuck into the form for Saturday's racing around the country.

The bagmen have done the form for the final Group 1 of the season, the Tattersall's Tiara for the fillies and mares at Eagle Farm, along with providing selections for the Healey Stakes and Civic Stakes at Randwick.

They have also given their best and value bet for the day.

Matthew Campbell – Betr

TATT'S TIARA – RUTHLESS DAME – Race 7 No.15 (Eagle Farm)
She got a little bit far back but closed off with excellent sectionals in the Stradbroke. It was too much to ask against a horse like Think About It so I think she will find this easier.
HEALEY STKS – THE BIG GOODBYE – Race 8 No.9 (Eagle Farm)
Maps to get a smooth run from the good barrier and be there flying at the end. It's his favourite track and distance and his consistent form should see him be right in this.
CIVIC STKS – KING OF HASTINGS – Race 8 No.15 (Randwick)
Was taken by his first-up run when held up for a run, he finally got clear and attacked the line. He has good second-up form, likes Randwick and drops down to just 53kg.
BEST – IOWNA MERC – Race 9 No.2 (Randwick)
He is now two from two since being gelded and showed plenty last time out at Randwick beating the highly fancied Kibou. He ran a fast time and there was some three lengths gap to third.
VALUE – FIELD OF PRAISE – Race 3 No.1 (Caulfield)
Resumes off the back of a 20-week spell and her fresh record puts her into the picture for this. She's been jumping out well, can win on any surface and last prep boasts a win over Unusual Culture.

Don Harley – TAB.com.au

TATT'S TIARA – OPAL RIDGE – Race 7 No.16 (Eagle Farm)
I have a huge opinion of this filly from Scone trained by Luke Pepper. Clearly her toughest assignment, but she's been huge this campaign and Tyler Schiller sticks.
HEALEY STKS – PRINCE OF BOOM – Race 8 No.2 (Eagle Farm)
Blew them away in the Moreton Cup to win comfortably and has previously beaten Rothfire this preparation when first-up. Back in class and with heavier weight, but he's a class act.
CIVIC STKS – COTEHELE – Race 8 No.13 (Randwick)
Comes in off a Rosehill win and a subsequent winning trial. Wide gate makes it tricky but is a quality gelding and will relish the firmer ground that is likely on Saturday.
BEST – IOWNA MERC – Race 9 No.2 (Randwick)
Back-to-back wins from two starts this campaign and beat out Kibou last start. Is three wins from four starts at this track and distance and the Amy McLucas claim is helpful.
VALUE – MISS HELLFIRE – Race 4 No.2 (Randwick)
Was a winner two starts back in higher grade and ran on well last start also in Benchmark 78 company. I like the combination with Reece Jones and draws a good gate.

Sam Phillips – Sportsbet

TATT'S TIARA – OPAL RIDGE – Race 7 No.16 (Eagle Farm)
This Luke Pepper-trained filly should have won last start in the Dane Ripper Stakes. Wide the trip and kept coming. Better draw this time. With any luck, should be too good.
HEALEY STKS – PRINCE OF BOOM – Race 8 No.2 (Eagle Farm)
All about the first 200m. If he jumps and gets across outside lead, he'll be too good. Airborne this prep and think he'll take some beating on Saturday.
CIVIC STKS – KING OF HASTINGS – Race 8 No.15 (Randwick)
Hopefully gets a run. Had absolutely no luck last start at a crucial stage. Ran really well otherwise. Gets a great draw and will be in the finish.
BEST – NORMANDY BRIDGE – Race 8 No.4 (Caulfield)
Last start result giving you a price here. Has the strong starting price, Harry Coffey is going well and expecting he should be too good for these.
VALUE – WELSH LEGEND – Race 7 No.12 (Randwick)
Having her third run for the Robert and Luke Price yard and continues to improve with racing. Think she will be set to peak third-up sticking at 1800m and looks over the odds.

Joshua Bell – Ladbrokes

TATT'S TIARA – ROOTS – Race 7 No.6 (Eagle Farm)
Won the Group 2 Emancipation at Rosehill during the autumn before finishing well back in the Queen Of The Turf Stakes. Was given a freshen up and went enormous in the Dane Ripper.
HEALEY STKS – QUANTICO – Race 8 No.4 (Eagle Farm)
Was a beaten favourite in the Group 2 Moreton Cup where Prince Of Boom was off and gone before the rest got a look in. Wasn't beaten far in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes and is capable of producing a win.
CIVIC STKS – KING OF HASTINGS – Race 8 No.15 (Randwick)
Plenty of winning chances in the feature at Randwick. Returned with a third behind Lady Of Luxury beaten less than a length. Drawn well and drops 4.5kg.
BEST – IOWNA MERC – Race 9 No.2 (Randwick)
Is low key flying at the moment and has won both starts this prep here at Randwick. Stays in this grade where it doesn't look any harder and the apprentice will help with some weight relief.
VALUE – BAZOOKA – Race 7 No.15 (Randwick)
Has just four wins from 41 starts but has placed 17 times for over half a million in prize money. Has been excellent in both starts this prep and has drawn to get a lovely run in transit from barrier six.

Kevin Kemp – Pointsbet

TATT'S TIARA – CHAIN ON LIGHTNING–Race 7 No.5 (Eagle Farm)
Thought she stuck on well in the Stradbroke Handicap despite being wide the trip. Should get a much better run in this from the good gate here and looks a great chance to breakthrough for a Group 1 win.
HEALEY STKS – PRINCE OF BOOM – Race 8 No.2 (Eagle Farm)
Has been consistent against some of the top class sprinters. If anything, this is an easier race than his comfortable win in the Moreton Cup win a fortnight ago.
CIVIC STKS – LONGVILLIERS – Race 8 No.9 (Randwick)
Has been gelded and had the chance to acclimatize in Australia after the one prep in the spring. Has had the benefit of two trials over the 900m, where he has looked sharp enough to show something fresh.
BEST – LUNCIES – Race 3 No.2 (Eagle Farm)
Comes here after two excellent runs behind the good horse Without A Fight. That's the right formline for this and I suspect with the jockey choice he will be in the first two pairs.
VALUE – LEGGY POINT – Race 2 No.14 (Randwick)
Pen job at Gunnedah two runs ago, when she got back and was four wide the trip. Then she went to another level at Scone a fortnight ago. If she runs up to her last start, she will go close to winning.

Chris Gregory – Playup

TATT'S TIARA – OPAL RIDGE – Race 7 No.16 (Eagle Farm)
Looks to get all the favours from the draw and can see her being a tad closer to the speed than she was last time. Looks well weighted against the opposition and she can win her maiden Group 1.
HEALEY STKS – PRINCE OF BOOM – Race 8 No.2 (Eagle Farm)
Prince Of Boom looks well placed to add another win to his tally here. Looks the likely leader from gate 16 but in a race devoid of speed he can cut across easily and take up the lead and prove hard to run down.
CIVIC STKS – LONGVILLERS – Race 8 No.9 (Randwick)
The former French galloper kicks off his second campaign for Chris Waller off the back of two trials, the last one being the most impressive. He could be the one to follow here and going forward.
BEST – MISS THATCHER – Race 2 No.8 (Randwick)
Comes to town after a dominant Goulburn victory where she won in good style. She rattled off some fast-closing sectionals and was then eased down near the line. Should prove hard to catch.
VALUE – I AM LETHAL – Race 10 No.16 (Randwick)
Handy galloper on his day and comes here after getting home well behind Iowna Merc first-up. The wide gate means he will go back but there looks to be plenty of speed up front.

David Mackay – TopSport

TATT'S TIARA – SHE'S ALL CLASS – Race 7 No.13 (Eagle Farm)
Was working into the race in the Dane Ripper until crowded for room nearing the 300m and had to be eased off heals. Got going again late to run fourth beaten a length. Looks well over the odds.
HEALEY STKS – KING KAPA – Race 8 No.7 (Eagle Farm)
Back to his best last start when leading and giving a big kick to hold off the backmarkers. Awkward barrier but enjoys racing on his home track, will push forward and be hard to get past.
CIVIC STKS – KING OF HASTINGS – Race 8 No.15 (Randwick)
Looked to be primed to run well first-up with three trials under the belt. Should roll into a forward position here, drops 4.5kg on latest performance. Be very surprised if he isn't right there when it counts.
BEST – WAHINE TOA – Race 3 No.7 (Randwick)
Wasn't able to go straight when required last start but got going again late to narrowly miss. Heads to Sydney for the first time and with the small field should be too classy for these.
VALUE – ALBURQ – Race 5 No.7 (Eagle Farm)
Racing in good form since moving north. Uncharacteristic performance last start. Gets a strong rider back aboard this week and looking for him to return to his best.

Clint Wallis – Neds

TATT'S TIARA – CHAIN OF LIGHTNING–Race 7 No.5 (Eagle Farm)
Ran well in the Sangster in Adelaide and could have finished closer with more luck. Was caught wide last start in the Stradbroke Handicap and thought she toughed it out well to eventually finish sixth.
HEALEY STKS – RANGES – Race 8 No.5 (Eagle Farm)
Disappointing at the Sunshine Coast two starts back despite being wide throughout. Was again caught wide last start in the Hinkler but was still coming on the line when finishing third behind King Kapa.
CIVIC STKS – UCALLEDIT – Race 8 No.10 (Randwick)
Ran well first-up at the Sunshine Coast and didn't have much luck when held up at his following start at Doomben. Was OK again last start at this track in a race that wasn't really run to suit.
BEST – HAZEL BABY – Race 5 No.8 (Caulfield)
Finally broke through for her maiden win at Geelong after a string of runner up finishes. Went back towards the rear of the field last start and ran on well behind a promising stablemate.
VALUE – ORTEGA – Race 2 No.8 (Caulfield)
Went around a well-supported favourite on debut at Pakenham and had little luck before being sent for a spell after pulling up with an issue at his second start. Has looked good at the jumpouts leading into this.

Zach Littman – BetNation

TATT'S TIARA – COMRADE ROSA – Race 7 No.11 (Eagle Farm)
This Capitalist mare has been going from strength-to-strength in this preparation. Took out the Dane Ripper last start in impressive fashion holding off a fast finishing Opal Ridge.
HEALEY STKS – VESPERTINE – Race 8 No.10 (Eagle Farm)
Forget last start when she was first-up and struggled to build momentum in the lane after finding trouble. She has had two wins second-up from five starts and will be charging home late.
CIVIC STKS – LONGVILLERS – Race 8 No.9 (Randwick)
It looks to be a set race for this Chris Waller import. Two quiet trials leading up following a lacklustre first Australian preparation. With gun hoop Jason Collett booked, he will be winding up late.
BEST – PROWLING – Race 9 No.9 (Caulfield)
He was taken right back last start after a poor draw and was left with plenty of work to do, running on well when it was an on speed dominated day at Sandown. He looks to be a good chance.
VALUE – DARLINGTON COUNTY – Race 6 No.10 (Randwick)
Ex-Kiwi mare that showed plenty of promise last start over the 1600m. Jason Collett takes the ride and, from barrier eight, will look to get cover and charge home late with the rise in distance, over the odds.

James Thomas – Palmerbet

TATT'S TIARA – FOXY FRIDA – Race 7 No.4 (Eagle Farm)
Has been in outstanding form of late winning three of her last four and a second placing. She has drawn wide but it won't phase her as she normally settles off the pace. Billy Egan knows her well too.
HEALEY STKS – KING KAPA – Race 8 No.7 (Eagle Farm)
Winner of five of his last seven races including two wins over the Eagle Farm 1200m. He has drawn wide but he retains the services of Ben Thompson who will push forward from out there.
CIVIC STKS – CISCO BAY – Race 8 No.6 (Randwick)
Deserved winner last start after rattling home from near last at the 400m mark. That was the same track and trip he tackles here and he only goes up 1kg for that effort.
BEST – GREEN SHADOWS – Race 10 No.17 (Randwick)
Hasn't won in a while but has run some cracking races in the meantime including a narrow second to Kovalica. Good behind Phearson first-up and can go on with it here.
VALUE – CURTIS ISLAND – Race 9 No.16 (Randwick)
Big run last start where he was only run down by Iowna Merc. There was less than half a length in it and he gets a 2kg weight swing in his favour. Any rain will only further enhance his chances.

Matthew Steed – Bet365

TATT'S TIARA – OPAL RIDGE – Race 7 No.16 (Eagle Farm)
Star filly that lost no admirers going down narrowly last start after a torrid run. This is tougher though but providing she has not taken any harm from her last start run, she should be in the finish.
HEALEY STKS – PRINCE OF BOOM – Race 8 No.2 (Eagle Farm)
It was an excellent run second-up behind Antino, beaten less than a length. That horse went on to win again last week at Listed level which this race is. Previous winner third-up and stable is flying.
CIVIC STKS – CISCO BAY – Race 8 No.6 (Randwick)
Rising nine-year-old that looks to be going better than ever. Strong win over this course and distance last start and providing he gets a solid temp up front no reason why he won't take plenty of holding out.
BEST – TOKEN CAPITALIST – Race 4 No.3 (Randwick)
Been a model of consistency of late and comes here off a five week freshen. Like the look of his form around Rediener and think he can take up a prominent position and take plenty of catching here.
VALUE – LEGGY POINT – Race 2 No.14 (Randwick)
Lightly raced filly which roared away from a field at Scone in the manner of a horse going places. Obviously harder here but deserves her chance in a Highway.
