Tipstrr’s three to follow: Mc’ted, Wisper and Sly Madam tipped for success

Tipstrr’s team of pundits operate independently but create an interesting pattern of consensual support for three horses in particular from Tuesday’s busy racecard.

14:30 Yarmouth: Quinnbet Acca Bonus Handicap (1 mile 2 furlongs)

It's been eight outings since Mc'ted last visited the winner's enclosure at Newmarket in August, but this visit to Yarmouth could break that winless run after enjoying his previous two outings here.

He enjoyed a course-and-distance success here last May, and followed that up with a runner-up spot over the same trip three months later.

He has wintered on Chelmsford's all-weather track where he has made the frame in five of his seven runs, including on his last appearance 12 days ago, when he finished strongly enough to suggest he could hit the ground running on his return to turf.

15:20 Brighton: British EBF Ruby Jubilee Fillies' Handicap (1 mile 2 furlongs)

Although returning from a six-month break, Wisper seems attractively priced for a horse that clearly likes the Brighton track after having won four times over this course and distance, including three last summer.

To prove he is more than a one-trip pony, this five-year-old mare rounded off last term by beating 10 rivals at Windsor in October, before finishing a close-up second at the same course a week later.

There are clearly threats from horses higher in the betting (along with the quietly fancied Pure Gold lower down), but with Dougie Costello resuming his partnership in the saddle, we can expect a decent run for our money from this proven performer.

15:40 Nottingham: British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Handicap (1 mile 75 yards)

Top weight should not be too much of a problem for Sly Madam if she can recapture the form that brought a decisive margin of victory on her penultimate outing at Windsor 15 days ago.

She can probably be forgiven her subsequent sixth-placed finish at Brighton, in which the quick five-day turnaround, the unsuitable good ground and the longer trip all combined to produce a sub-par performance.

She should be much more comfortable back to her optimum trip at Nottingham, where the cut in the ground should help bring out her best again.

The small field reduces each-way prospects, of course, but on her day, Sly Madam is very capable of being in the mix in this company.
