Top 50 Flames of All Time: #4 Miikka Kiprusoff

Miikka Kiprusoff is the fourth Flames player on our countdown. He was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in 1995. Kipsrussoff played in the American Hockey League before joining the Calgary Flames in 2003. His 1.69 goals against average set the modern Flames' record. In 2005-06 he was the first Flame to win the Vezina Trophy. He also came within a game of winning the Stanley Cup. The Flames came to prominence in his era. They won the playoffs in 2005. It was their first since 1995 and they came close to winning it in 2006.
