Top Bets For NFL Week 6

Another great weekend is upon us and it’s time to look at our three NFL Week 6 best bets. Looking at the matchups this Sunday, there isn’t that one marquee matchup to keep an eye on, but that is when this league is at its best. This week the Packers and Steelers are on their bye, meaning we have 15 games this week with 13 being on Sunday.

Last week gave us a wide variety of finishes, as usual. There were five games that had a one-score finish and four ending with a deficit of more than three possessions. This is what we’ve come to expect with the NFL, always keeping everyone on their toes. That being said, let’s find those outliers and hopefully take advantage of the sportsbook with this week’s NFL Week 6 best bets.

Top Bets For NFL Week 6

San Francisco 49ers @ Cleveland Browns – Pick, over 37.5

Coming off their bye week, the Cleveland Browns will try to bounce back after a blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. Their opponent, the San Francisco 49ers, are trying to sustain their dominance. They’re coming off of a very impressive 42-10 victory over Dallas that moved Kyle Shanahan and the Niners to 5-0. It’s hard to say that the offense is the 49ers best phase, but Brock Purdy has led them to 33.4 points per game through five weeks.

Similarly, the Browns also have a very good defense which is ranked second only to the 49ers in points per game allowed. This is most likely the reason the over/under is set at a low 37.5. However, this 49ers offense is special. It might not matter whose defense is out there, I’m not sure anyone can slow them down. As long as Cleveland scores at all this over should be very attainable. Purdy and the 49ers offense may very well reach this on their own. This might be the best of NFL week six best bets.

Minnesota Vikings @ Chicago Bears – Pick, Bears +3

Although these two teams have the same record, they seem to have different moods going into Week 6. With Justin Fields taking huge steps the last two weeks, the Chicago Bears again have hope that they can maybe win some games this year. Lining up against them will be the Minnesota Vikings, who are getting every bad luck bounce you could imagine. All four of the Vikings losses have been only by one score. To make matters worse, star wide receiver Justin Jefferson is now on injured reserve. That leaves only minimal options for Kirk Cousins.

n the other side, Bears star receiver D.J. Moore is seemingly just getting started. After three weeks of terrible output, quarterback Justin Fields started to feel a rhythm in their loss versus the Denver Broncos. He kept it going when he led the Bears to a 40-20 win over the Washington Commanders. With the decline of Minnesota in full effect, Bears +3 at home feels like a very promising play this weekend.

New Orleans Saints @ Houston Texans – Pick, Texans +1.5

The New Orleans Saints have a great record of always being talented and being in the playoff hunt every year, and 2023 is no different. First-year Saints quarterback Derek Carr has had somewhat of a slow start, even though he just led a blowout victory over the New England Patriots. However, that was seemingly more on the Patriots troubles rather than the Saints being a dominant team. They will travel to Houston to take on the Texans this weekend. The Texans are a very young group with a rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, rookie coach DeMeco Ryans, and a youthful defense. Stroud has had one of the most impressive starts to a career of all time. He’s already thrown for over 1,400 yards, seven touchdowns, and a very impressive zero interceptions. The young squad looks primed to continue to grow and hopefully cover their fourth straight game.
