Tottenham Hotspur Top Four Odds: Spurs 13/8 For Champions League

Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of finishing in the top four and playing in the Champions League next season have taken a hit after Saturday’s 3-3 away draw against Southampton.

James Ward-Prowse converted a last minute penalty to earn a vital point for Southampton as the hosts scored two goals in the final 15 minutes to steal a result.

Pedro Porro, Harry Kane and Ivan Perisic bagged for the visitors but substitute Pape Matar Sarr’s mistimed challenge on Ainsley Maitland-Niles prevented Spurs from leaving with three points.

Che Adams responded to Porro’s opener shortly after the second half restart and Theo Walcott added a second in the 78th minute.

Spurs are now two Premier League games without defeat after a run of three games in all competitions without victory and sit fourth in the table.

Antonio Conte‘s job appears to be safe – for now, and Spurs will look to make a firm charge to finish in the Champions League spots as we approach the business end of the season.

According to Premier League betting sites, Conte (6/4) is still the second favourite to be the next manager sacked behind Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers (21/20).

Spurs face a tough run of games ahead, including a Monday night trip to Goodison Park and clashes against Brighton, Newcastle, Manchester United and Liverpool in the next six.

After failing to secure what would’ve been a vital win on the south coast, Spurs are one point behind Erik ten Hag’s side in third who have two games in hand and play in the FA Cup this season.
