Favorites won at 41.9 percent of the time during the week ending on Sunday. Chalk won only 36.7 percent. Last week 858 races were run, with average field size of 7.1 runners. Summer meets came to an end at Saratoga, Del Mar and Colonial Downs. The final week of racing at Canterbury Park begins Wednesday. Fall meets begin at Churchill Downs and Aqueduct on Thursday.
