Transfer deadline LIVE as Celtic and Rangers plus Aberdeen FC, Hearts and Hibs make last signings

Kent to Lazio 'agreed'

Ryan Kent's Fenerbahce hell is almost over with the former Rangers star set for Lazio.

The ex-Liverpool winger left Ibrox last summer under freedom of contract and popped up in Turkey after penning a four-year deal with the Istanbul giants. But that looks to be over after just six months, with Kent set for a sensational switch to Serie A.

Despite a promising start, he found himself out of favour with Fener and hasn't featured in a squad since November.

It was even reported that the club had frozen Kent's contract in a bid to get him to leave, after apparently knocking back several chances to move during the January transfer window.

That could have seen him stay put, but without being paid his wages as he sat and watched from the stands. But now he looks set for a fresh start in the Eternal City, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that the two clubs have reached a verbal agreement.

Lagerbielke deal stalls

Gustaf Lagerbielke is "90%" not going to Lecce this window, according to Italian reports.

The Swedish defender has been frozen out at Parkhead. He has been touted with a move to Italy and the Serie A side have been keen for his signature.

But it's now suggested that Lecce are almost certain they won't be signing him before the deadline. An injury to Cameron Carter-Vickers has forced Celtic into a recruitment rethink.

Bubbling Burrows to Celtic talk

Left back is a priority position for Celtic and the latest name doing the rounds is Harrison Burrows of Peterborough United. The 22-year-old came through has been in the Posh Academy set-up since the age of six and progressed through the first team at London Road, making his debut at the age of just 15 in a pre-season friendly, where he has produced some eye-catching performances to help them with their Championship promotion push.

Done Teale

Arbroath have added to their defensive ranks as they fight for Scottish Championship survival.

They've brought in Conor Teale from Fleetwood Town who has enjoyed previous stints away from the Cod Army with the likes of Marine, Curzon Ashton, Farsley Celtic and Alfreton Town over the past two campaings.

He will now get the experience of Scotland's second tier on a loan move until the summer.

The not so hard Selz

Nottingham Forest are regularly busy in the transfer market and it is no different today.

The English Premier League outfit have already been active on Deadline Day with Matz Sels set to be the latest recruit as they add a goalkeeper to their ranks.

They've completed a deal with Strasbourg reports transfer guru Fabrizio Romano with the French side set to net in the region of €6/7m.

He's currently on his way for his medical.

Hoops want midfielder

Celtic are eyeing up a midfielder before the Deadline Day activity comes to an end.

Record Sport understands it is an area in the Hoops' team that is high on the agenda with David Turnbull heading for Cardiff City and Reo Hatate suffering another injury while on Asian Cup duty with Japan.

They also want a left-back in the door with Adam Idah the striker heading for the champions on a six-month loan deal from Norwich City.

A number of other fringe players could also exit with Marco Tilio already out the door.

Sibbick bid rejected

Hearts have knocked back an approach from Fleetwood Town for Toby Sibbick.

The defender has been in and out of the Jambos side of late but has still made 21 appearances this season. Record Sport understands Sibbick is still an important part of Steven Naismith’s plans and is happy in the capital. Fleetwood boss Charlie Adam had eyed a move for the former Barnsley stopper as he looks to drag the Cod Army off the bottom of the table.

Blair key for Well

Blair Spittal is 'integral' to Motherwell's plans insists No2 Stephen Frail.

Rumours have been rife over his future and when asked about potential 'pre-contract' rumours amid St Mirren talk circulating, he explained:

The calm before the storm?

There have been some wild scenes on deadline day on the Celtic Way over the years.

Hoops fans pitched up in their thousands in front of Parkhead for glamour arrivals such as Robbie Keane and Craig Bellamy.

But it’s a different story today.

There’s still time for a blockbuster move to get the punters rushing to the stadium, but not many are waiting by the door with the jackets on ready to rock up.

It was one man and his dog stuff outside Celtic Park this lunchtime – and the dog was straining at the leash to get up the road.

There was a few people milling around outside and the talk was incoming Norwich City loan signing Adam Idah was in the building getting the grand tour.

The big striker should be announced officially any minute now and while he’ll give the Hoops a different option up front, it’s not a capture that’s got the punters flocking to the ground.

Celts are still working on deals in the background and a loan left back to help ease some of the burden on Greg Taylor remains high up on the wish list.

But not many are hopeful of a Keane or Bellamy style blockbuster to brighten up a dull first day in February.

Here we go

Hibs are hoping to bring in two defenders before the deadline and they've got one in the bag with the capture of Nectarios Triantis.

Nick Montgomery previously worked with the Australia Under-23 cap at Central Coast Mariners and he was a big player at the back for his old side.

He since joined Sunderland, but has found game-time a struggle to come by at the Stadium of Light and Michael Beale has now given the move north the green light.

All eyes now focus on the pursuit of Bournemouth's Owen Bevan.

Gunners exit?

Alex Runarsson could be heading out from Arsenal before the window shuts.

The Evening Standard report he is attracting interest from Copenhagen with the Danes in the market for a goalkeeper.

They've already raided the EPL earlier this week to add Scotland international Scott McKenna

Accies star heads out on loan

Joel Mumbongo is heading on loan to Queen of the South for the rest of the season.

The striker has been part of Hamilton Accies' squad as they look for an immediate return to the Championship. He will now head to Dumfries to aid Marvin Bartley's League One efforts.

Goodbye for now

Joel Mumbongo has left Hamilton Accies for Queen of the South.

He joins Marvin Bartley's men on loan until the summer.

The temporary move sees him join a Scottish League One rival.

The Palmerston Park outfit are pushing for the play-off spots.

Clock is ticking

We are into the afternoon on Deadline Day as clubs continune to push deals over the line.

A quick reminder that activity comes to a close in England at 11pm.

However, in Scotland the trading continues until 11.30pm.

Strap yourself in and stick with us throughout as we bring you all the moves in and out as they happen.

Injury blow

Rhys Williams' loan spell at Port Vale has been cut short.

The former Aberdeen loanee returned to Liverpool before heading back out for the second half of the campaign but an underlying injury issue has brought that spell to a quick end.

Port Vale confirmed:

McAllister arrives in Highlands

Inverness have confirmed the signing of midfielder Sean McAllister on loan from Everton until the end of the season.

Boss Duncan Ferguson has tapped into his Everton connections to replace David Carson, who's gone to Livingston. McCallister started his career at Dungannon Swifts before joining Everton in 2019.

In July 2022, he signed a new 1-year deal at Everton, and he then signed another deal in April 2023 to extend his deal until Summer 2024.

McKenna snubs Red Devils for Cherries

It's all happening at the Spiders where The Scottish Sun report that kid gloves Callan McKenna has turned DOWN the chance to join Manchester United, opting for Bournemouth instead.

The Spiders teenager was being chased by a trio of English Premier League clubs but the Scotland Under-19 shot-stopper as chosen the Vitality Stadium and will net Queen's Park around £350,000.

Wilson signs for Queen's Park

Danny Wilson has shared his delight after signing for Queen's Park on a 18-month contract.

And he cannot wait to get started under Callum Davidson.

And boss Davidson shared his joy.

Hibs transfer latest

Hibs hope to complete a double deadline day defensive swoop with the re-emergence of Sunderland stopper Nectarios Triantis as a potential arrival not stalling the move for Bournemouth’s Owen Bevan, writes Fraser Wilson.

Record Sport revealed on Friday that Wales U21 international Bevan was a top target for Nick Montgomery and the 20-year-old is expected to seal a loan switch before tonight’s deadline.

Triantis is now firmly in Montgomery’s sights as well. The Australia U23 cap was a pillar at the back for the Hibs boss as he led Central Coast Mariners to the A-League championship last season.

Triantis has since moved to Sunderland where he has made only three top team appearances. The 20-year-old was on a long list of target for Hibs earlier in the window but Black Cats bosses had initially put the shutters up on a loan move.

That situation has now changed clearing the way for Hibs to make a loan swoop for Triantis and Bevan.

Hibs have the third leakiest defence in the top flight and with Rocky Bushiri on international duty potentially for another two weeks Montgomery is eager to bring in reinforcements.

Turn-up at Well

Celtic star David Turnbull’s anticipated move to Cardiff City could net Motherwell a chunk of cash, but only if he goes for a “certain amount”, according to assistant boss Stephen Frail.

But Frail says Adam Montgomery’s loan from Celtic hasn’t been ended, the left-back is just back at the Glasgow giants for rehab on a hamstring injury sustained in training. Turnbull has been linked with a move to Championship side Cardiff for a reported £2m fee before the window closes this evening, and Frail says the Fir Park club may receive some of that.

Idah-aye or Idah-no

Celtic will announce the signing of Adam Idah imminently but it's still not going down well with the Hoops legions - if the Hotline is anything to go by.

Carson is a Lion

David Carson has joined Livingston from Inverness on a permanent deal.

The midfielder has shone in the Championship and now gets a crack at the Premiership. He joins David Martindale's side at a time they are scrapping for survival, marooned at the bottom of the league.

Martindale - who has secured Carson on an 18-month deal - reckons "He has bags of endeavour and desire to work hard for the team and I’m sure this will see him quickly become a fans favourite."

Lindsay could shatter records

Jamie Lindsay is wanted by Wrexham - and some of the Hollywood cash might be needed.

The former Celtic and Ross County midfielder is currently with Rotherham in the Championship. But he is in the crossheirs of the League Two side backed by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

According to the Mail, a move for the 28-year-old would see Wrexham 'smash' their club record fee.

Fir Park latest

Motherwell business is set to go down to the wire as they hunt a forward.

Jack Vale has been brought in on loan from Blackburn in that area but it's a position assistant Stephen Frail still believes they are light on. A move for Kevin van Veen has NOT been ruled out.

Boss Stuart Kettlewell is working on deals according to Frail but it could go on late into the night.

Souttar on Blades shortlist

Harry Souttar is the prime target for Sheffield United.

The Leicester defender was linked with Rangers in the summer but remained at the English Championship. He could now turn his attention to the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest's Joe Worrall and the Everton duo Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey are also on United's shortlist, according to Sky.

Triantis nears Leith

Nectar Triantis is a Hibs target on deadline day.

Nick Montgomery worked with the Sunderland defender while he was at Central Coast Mariners. He is capped at youth level by Australia.

Now The Athletic claim the 20-year-old will 'rejoin' Montgomery in Edinburgh.

Will Gers get Rid of Yilmaz?

The situation surrounding Ridvan Yilmaz looks like it has potential for drama. Galatasaray, if reports in Turkey are to be believed, appear determined to land the Rangers man.

Forrest exit tipped

A report claims Celtic lifer James Forrest could be in line for a shock Parkhead exit on Deadline Day as Mikey Johnston closes in on West Brom.

TalkSPORT claim the club's longest serving player could be on the way out months after his emotional testimonial against Athletic Bilbao. The 34-year-old has struggled for regular game time since the return of his mentor Brendan Rodgers but has featured only 18 times with a string of cameo roles but now they are "open to offers" for the Scotland international.

Turnbull lands in Wales

David Turnbull is currently having his Cardiff City medical ahead of a £2million move to Wales.

The midfielder is claimed to be in Wales as he puts the finishing touches on his deal that will take him to the English Championship. He will sign a permanent deal with six months remaining on his Celtic contract.

McCracken back in Tayside

Jon McCracken has returned to Dundee on loan from Norwich City.

The goalkeeper originally joined Tony Docherty's side in the summer. He headed back south shortly after his arrival though after Trevor Carson came back and claimed the number one jersey.

Now with recent injuries between the sticks, Dundee have swooped to bring the former Hamilton youth product back to Tayside.
