Tuesday Africa Cup of Nations predictions: Salah may inspire Egypt to victory

Algeria, reigning champions, start their campaign against Sierra Leone. Mo Salah will play for Egypt against Nigeria in Garoua. Sudan take on Guinea-Bissau in the other Group D match.

Algeria are the defending champions of the Africa Cup of Nations. They take on Sierra Leone, who are 108th in Fifa's world rankings. The match markets offer little but there could be value in betting on who scores in this match.

Egypt take on Nigeria in their opening game of the African Cup of Nations. Nigeria won the tournament in 2013, but they lost to Central African Republic and drew with Cape Verde recently. Egypt reached the semi-finals of last year's Arab Cup without Mo Salah or Mo Elneny.

Sudan and Guinea-Bissau are in the same Africa Cup of Nations group. Sudan last played in this tournament ten years ago. Guinea Bissua are preparing for their third straight Afcon campaign.
