UFC 298: Parlay and Top Picks

With the second Pay-Per-View card coming this weekend from Anaheim, California, it’s time to discuss what are some of the top UFC picks to make and throw those into a UFC 298 parlay.

When the event is as stacked as this one, creating a parlay and deciding which fighters to bet on can be difficult. Almost every fight is very close and could be a 50/50 fight, so we needed to dig a bit deeper for these ones.

The official UFC 298 top picks are all included in the PPV portion of the event, so make sure you continue reading and tune in to the event this Saturday night at 10 PM EST.

Leg #1

We are going all big fights for this UFC 298 parlay, starting with the unofficial #1 contender fight in the bantamweight division between Merab Dvalishvili and Henry Cejudo. This one is an interesting matchup that probably should be slated for a 5-round contest.

We are siding with Dvalishvili this weekend because he has the best cardio out of anybody in the world and 15 minutes is short enough for him to sprint at Cejudo every second of the bout.

Cejudo might be a little more skilled all-around and has the experience of a double champion, but he’s 37 years old with a family now and is only in his first full year coming back from multiple years away from the sport.

It’s a safe and smart bet for Dvalishvili to be able to control the fight in the clinch and up against the cage for 15 minutes and earn a close decision victory.

Leg #2

The second top UFC pick this weekend is in the co-main event between Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa. This is a very tough fight to predict because these two are both coming off losses and have proved to be able to fight at a championship level.

Whittaker is still the best middleweight outside of Adesanya over the last 5 years, but we are going with Costa this weekend. These underdog UFC fight odds will boost this parlay a lot, and Costa has a clear path to victory in this one as well.

Costa actually looks to be in incredible shape and focused on getting arguably the biggest win of his career. He is explosive, and if he can cut off the cage and get Whittaker up against the fence, he will be able to find a finish with his heavy hooks to the body and head.

  • Paulo Costa ML +209

Leg #3

Whenever you sit down for a UFC fight night on a Saturday night, you’re usually there for the main event. This weekend’s main event is one of the most hyped-up matchups we have had in a while.

Volkanovski is going to prove a lot of not-very-intelligent fight fans wrong, humble the undefeated Spaniard, and take the “zero” from his record. Topuria is undoubtedly a very talented contender who will be champion someday, as he’s only 26 years old.

Volkanovski’s speed is still there, his fight IQ is levels beyond anybody around him, and he’s still hungry. The way he works in the gym and prepares for a title fight is the reason he is putting together one of the best title reigns in UFC history. He will get his hand raised by a late-round stoppage or decision.

  • Alexander Volkanovski ML -126

The Perfect Parlay

After careful consideration, these top picks are what will be put into the official UFC 298 parlay this weekend. They are arguably the three biggest fights on the card and will make for an incredible night of viewing high-level mixed martial arts and winning money.

The final parlay odds are +701; meaning if you bet $100 on this three-leg parlay, you can win a total payout of $800.56 on Saturday night following the main event wrapping up with Volkanovski’s hand raised.

Please remember that parlays have these crazy odds because you need every bet to hit to win the payout. It’s very hard to hit a bet of +700 odds for a reason and you shouldn’t be betting with these odds every weekend and expect to win.MMA is the most difficult sport to bet on and using the parlay should be a tool to make it easier, not more difficult.
