UFC: Paige VanZant's gym asks Drake to stop betting on its fighters due to his curse

Drake is being asked to stop betting on fighters from Paige VanZant's gym after his curse claimed another victim.

The rapper isn't afraid to bet on major sporting events, reportedly wagering hundreds of millions in recent years.

However, despite betting on several favorites, Drake has lost several high-profile wagers, prompting people to dub the phenomena the "Drake Curse".

Back in February he lost over $300,000 when he bet that Jake Paul would knock out Tommy Fury, and he lost over $1.5 million when Alex Pereira defeated Israel Adesanya last year.

The curse seemingly continued over the weekend as Drake backed Adesanya to knockout Sean Strickland.

However, in one of the biggest shocks in UFC history, Strickland won via unanimous decision, resulting in Drake losing over $400,000.

Drake to stop betting on its fighters. The Florida gym is home to names like VanZant, Dustin Poirier and Jorge Masvidal.

"Dear Mr. Drake. Please don't bet on any of our fighters. Respectfully," the gym tweeted.

Drake's betting woes aren't limited to the octagon, as he has lost plenty of money wagering on soccer.

Back in December he picked Argentina to defeat France in 90 minutes, though they needed penalties to come out on top.

He also bet on Barcelona to beat Real Madrid in a game that he sponsored the Blaugrana's shirt.

While Arsenal did their part by defeating Leeds in Drake's parlay, the Catalan club ended up falling 3-1.
