Union Berlin will welcome Eintracht Frankfurt to the capital this Sunday afternoon as the home side aim to get their top three charge back on track just as the away outfit look for more stability in their pursuit of a European finish.

Union have fallen off a cliff in recent weeks and saw their title charge take a beating, just as they exited the Europa League in midweek.

Urs Fischer’s men were beaten 3-0 by Union Saint-Gilloise to lose 6-3 on aggregate in the Europa League in a stunning loss in Belgium. Janik Haberer also received a red card that day but can play here.

After also drawing with Wolfsburg and Koln and losing to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, Union now sit down in fourth and behind Dortmund by eight points at the top of the table.

Frankfurt were hammered 3-0 by Napoli in midweek and they have now not won a game in a month since beating Werder Bremen at home.

They remain in sixth, however, but Frankfurt have seen their hopes of a spot in the Champions League take a huge hit in recent weeks.
