USMNT Player Ratings: Weah's goal, Zimmerman's mistake define World Cup draw

The USMNT's first game at the 2022 World Cup began with a 1-1 draw against Wales on Monday. The team is going to reach the knockout stages, probably with the win over Iran on the final matchday (Nov. 29) and a draw with England on Black Friday. The young team didn't have enough experiences against quality international teams.

The USMNT beat Wales 1-0 on Monday. Ream, Jedi, Walker, Pulisic, Musah, and Weston played well. Walker's foul on Bale cost the US the game. Musa is the youngest player to start a World Cup match for the USA. The player with the best grade is George Weah. The best player of the match was Christian Puliksic. He played very well in the second half. His through ball on Wea's goal was great. I would have liked to see more from Norwich City striker Daniel Dest. Weston played a solid game, but he should have been more active.

Yedlin came in and did his job. Aaronson showed his usual aggressiveness. Wright could have come into the game earlier. Acosta was given a high rating for his last-gasp tackle on Bale. Morris didn't play enough to get a rating.
