Victor Wembanyama and Steph Curry NBA odds: Props and best bets for Spurs vs. Warriors, Nov. 24

A two-time MVP and a No. 1 overall pick with similar aspirations meet on Friday when Steph Curry's Golden State Warriors host Victor Wembanyama's San Antonio Spurs.

The pregame narrative: San Antonio enters this game on a 10-game losing streak but its fans have a reason to tune in every night. Wembanyama is the Rookie of the Year frontrunner and already has a 38-point double-double to his name. Curry and the Warriors have lost seven of their past eight and will need a big performance from their leader to get back on track.

There have been some ups and downs to Wembanyama's rookie campaign but the 7-foot-4 wunderkind has done some remarkable things.

He's averaging 18.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, with the high point being a 38-point double-double against Phoenix. As if that's not enough, Wembanyama has been a menace on the defensive end, recording 2.6 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.

Curry has missed some time due to injury, but when he's on the floor, it's the same old Steph.

He's averaging 29.4 points per game and is shooting a ludicrous 43.7% from beyond the arc. Curry is coming off his worst game of the season (16 points, 1-of-8 from deep) but the Spurs are bottom-five in defensive rating so this seems like a reasonable bounce-back spot.

Best Wembanyama prop bet

Best Bet: Wembanyama double-double (-115)

It wouldn't be a shock to see this line regularly set at -400 in a few years.

Wembanyama's build is unlike anything we've ever seen. His height and reach advantage allow him to hoover rebounds at a ridiculous pace. The rookie has seven double-doubles in 15 games and has landed on exactly nine rebounds four additional times.

The Warriors own the ninth-best rebounding rate (51.4%) but they are giving up a middle-of-the-pack 14.66 rebounds per game to opposing centres, according to Fantasy Pros.

Best Curry prop bet

Best Bet: Curry over 29.5 points (-105)

This game seems teed up for a classic Curry performance.

San Antonio is allowing the third-most points per game (123.1) and the highest opponent 3-point percentage (39.1%). It's no secret Curry lives beyond the arc as 11.9 of the veteran's 18.9 average field-goal attempts are coming from deep.

That makes the over on his 3-point prop (5.5) intriguing, but Curry has only cleared that mark in six of 14 games. At this point total, he's hit the over seven times.

Curry also hits 5.8 threes per game on the road compared to 4.5 threes per game at home. He also receives a friendlier whistle at Chase Center and is averaging 2.2 more free throws per game (7.7 to 5.5) at home.
