Victory Stakes: Count De Rupee provides trainer Luke Price with emotional win

Count De Rupee won the Victory Stakes for trainer Luke Price. Count DeRupee was trained by the Kembla Grange team of Luke and his father Robert. It was a day after Luke buried his grandmother Dawn Robinson. The Price team is now hunting their first Group 1 win. Rothfire finished out of the money in the Group 2 Victory. Ben Thompson is happy with the return of Tony Gollan sprinter Vega One. Vega was almost dying after last year’s Stradbroke Handicap. He was 11th in his first run since almost 12 months off.
