Wahoo’s New ELEMNT ROAM Is a Major Upgrade
Wahoo has updated their BOLT bike computer. The new ROAM has a larger 2.7” screen and all Wahoo’s latest technology. It has dual band GPS, 64-Color screen, 32GB of memory and USB-C charging.
Wahoo's new ELEMNT ROAM is a big upgrade. It has a new screen with 64 colors up from 8. The new RO AM is always on and has 32GB of memory. Wahoo X integration and the new Backup + Restore hit yesterday. W Yahoo X is Wapp's subscription bundle of SYSTEM, their structured training platform, and RGT, a virtual cycling platform. With yesterday’s update, structured rides that you tag to do outside automatically show up on your ROam. ROAAM 2 features USB-C charging. Several features roll back to the BOLT 2.
Wahoo's new ELEMNT ROAM is a major upgrade for their cycling devices. It's easy to setup and use. The data page smart zoom allows you to zoom in and out during a ride. LEDs indicators above and beside the screen show turn directions, radar alerts, and notifications. The side LEDs are configurable to show speed, power, heart rate and heart beat relative to target or average. Wahoo does radar better than Garmin units. They show the top LEDs alerting me of a car in radar. If I were racing, I would probably set the side LED indicator to power or HR. or the pink-ish power LED is target, the blue LEDs go up or down from there.
Wahoo keeps with the same integrated bike mount design from the prior generation products.
Wahoo excels in outdoor structured workouts. The screen and fields are very good. It's easy to import workouts from a variety of platforms. There is a customisable workout screen. It is easy for cyclists to use the side LEDs to help with power.
Wahoo's new Public Ride Sharing platform makes it easier to manage and share rides. The ROAM is a premium large-screen bike computer with GPS accuracy and navigation. It is also easy to direct import routes from email, Dropbox and most other file and online hosts.
