Both teams seek to avoid a one-and-done playoff appearance, so this game stands as pivotal.

Los Angeles won seven of their last 10 games heading into the break. Golden State, meanwhile, won eight of their last 10 before the All-Star festivities. The Warriors rank sixth in scoring this season (119.7 points per game) but 18th in scoring defense (118.2).

The Lakers average 113 points per game (13th) and allow 117.1 (17th). Golden State should find an advantage on the boards, as the Warriors rank third in rebounds (46.6), whereas LA ranks 22nd (42.7) and will be without one of their top rebounders in Jarred Vanderbilt.

The Lakers have listed LeBron James as questionable heading into this matchup. James’s status is day-to-day as the 39-year-old All-Star receives treatment on his left ankle. LA will also be without Gabe Vincent and Cam Reddish for this one. For the Warriors, Chris Paul remains out with a hand injury.
