Washington State is 6-1 against Stanford since October of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Washington State Cougars will be playing at home against the Stanford Cardinal at 9:00 p.m. ET at Clarence D. Martin Stadium. Washington State is limping into the game on a four-game losing streak.

The point spread may have favored Washington State last Saturday, but the final result did not. They took a 38-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arizona State.

Cameron Ward put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 315 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.

Meanwhile, Stanford also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Washington by a score of 42-33. Stanford has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stanford might have lost, but man, Ashton Daniels was a machine: he rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 367 yards and a touchdown. Elic Ayomanor was another key contributor, picking up 146 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Washington State's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-4. As for Stanford, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

In addition to losing their last games, both teams failed to cover the spread. Going forward, Washington State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 13 points. This contest will be Stanford's sixth straight as the underdogs (so far over this stretch they are 3-2 against the spread).

Everything came up roses for Washington State against Stanford in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 52-14 win. Will Washington State repeat their success, or does Stanford have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
