Atlantic League announced its 2023 season schedule. Frederick Keys will replace the Kentucky Wild Health Genomes in the South Division. Thunder Bay Border Cats will return to the Northwoods League in 20 23. The Edmonton Prospects will not play in Western Canadian Baseball League for the 20th season. West Coast League will have 16 teams in 8 divisions. The WCL includes five teams from British Columbia, one from Alberta, four from Oregon and six from Washington. It will play 54 games from early June to early August 2022.
The WNDL is planning to play a 2022-23 season starting next month. There are 12 teams in 3 four-team divisions.
Memphis Showboats will replace the Tampa Bay Bandits in the USFL's South Division in 2023. The Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis will host 20th home games involving Showboat and Houston Gamblers. Birmingham will be home to the South's Birmingham Americans and New Orleans Breakers. St. Louis Stampede will play in temporary stadium in Cahokia Heights, IL for two seasons. Oklahoma City Wranglers announced plans to build a 10,000-seat stadium for their team on the site of a former shopping mall. The proposed new UFL will start play from April 20 23 with 14 teams in seven-team Eastern and Western conferences.
Professional Women's Hockey Players Association will hold an All-Star event on December 11, 2022 in Ottawa in partnership with the Ottawa Senators. PWHPA teams will play regular-season games in Kemptville (Ontario) and Gatineau (Quebec) in the two days leading up to the event.
The professional NWSL announced its 2023 season schedule this week. The regular season starts on March 25 and ends in September 20 23. There will be 12 teams aligned into four-team groups. Rhode Island FC will start playing in the 2024 season. Oklahoma City Energy FC won't play in 2022 because its home field doesn't meet league requirements. A proposed new soccer stadium for the team will not be ready until 2026. The USL Academy League will play a girl's division in 2020. It will connect elite youth soccer organizations to local senior teams.
Major League Rugby announced its 2023 season schedule. It will feature 12 teams aligned in a six-team Eastern Conference and a 6- team Western Conference. The new 12th team based in Chicago will be called the Chicago Hounds.
