Wellington beat Hawke's Bay in Ranfurly Shield on Saturday. Waikato lost to Otago in Dunedin. Wellington are in second place in Odds Conference. Canterbury is 11 points clear in the Evens conference. Northland slipped to fifth place after losing to North Harbour.

Robert Cobb, Daniel Sinkinson, Jay Renton, Morgan Mitchell, Jack Macleod, Tana Tuhakaraina, Damian McKenzie, and Taha Kemara scored tries for Waikkato. Robbie Robinson kicked two penalties and a conversion for Southlands.
Taranaki beat Manawatu 34-24. Vereniki Tikosolomone, Kini Naholo, Luke Campbell, Ben Strang, Ricky Riccitelli and Tima Fainga'anuku scored tries. Manwatu had led by 12 points. Daniel Waite, Brett Cameron, Sam Clarke and Ben Stang converted the tries for Taranaki.
Counties Manukau beat Canterbury 39-44. Sam Tuifua, Alex McRobbie, Tevita Ofa, AJ Alatimu, Esau Filiemoehala and Dallas McLeod scored tries for the home team. Canterbury scored four tries. Wellington scooped in Ranfurly Shield. They beat Auckland. It was a packed weekend for rugby in New Zealand.

Sione Havili Talitui, Macca Springer and William Havilili scored for Tasman. Sydney won the match. Sydney beat Auckland in the previous match in a rugby union competition. New Zealand won in rugby league competition in 2010.
Wellington beat Hawke's Bay 12-19 in Ranfurly Shield rugby. TJ Perenara scored the only try for the visitors. Lincoln McClutchie scored four penalty goals and Aidan Morgan four penalties and a conversion. It was Wellington's 100th Ranfurlash Shield game.
Bay of Plenty defeated Southland 54-21. Michael Manson scored twice for Bay of plenty. Solomone Alaimalo scored for Southlands. Kohan Herbert, Tevita Mafileo, Emoni Narawa, Kaveinga Finau, Lalomilo Laloma, Justin Sangster, Viveni Lasaqa, Lucas Cashmore, and Manaaki Selby-Rickit scored tries for the home team.
Otago beat Waikato 27-20. Damian McKenzie, Bailyn Sullivan, Josh Dickson, William Tucker and Josh Timu scored tries for Otago. William Tucker scored the winning try. Cameron Millar converted all three of his conversions.
Northland 21 North Harbour 48. Tamarau McGahan, Isoa Nasilasila, Shaun Stevenson, Sam Nock, Josh Goodhue and Tamati Tua scored tries for North harbour. Bryn Gatland kicked six penalties for the home side. Jamie Booth scored a hat-trick for Harbour.
