Manchester City lost to Manchester United and Tottenham were beaten by Arsenal last weekend, with the results stunting their respective title and top-four ambitions

Manchester City and Tottenham will be licking their wounds when they meet on Thursday after their respective derby defeats.

Pep Guardiola'sCity had led through Jack Grealish in their derby with Manchester United, but Bruno Fernandes equalised in controversial circumstances before Marcus Rashford scored the winner. It left City eight points adrift of Premier League leaders Arsenal and their neighbours only a point behind them.

Meanwhile, Spurs' 2-0 loss to the Gunners saw them fall five points shy of the top-four places after a rocky period since the World Cup break.

But can either side bounce back? Here's everything you need to know about Thursday night's match...

When is Manchester City vs Tottenham?

Manchester City will host Tottenham in a rearranged Premier League fixture at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday, January 19. The fixture is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm (UK time).

The match was originally meant to be played on September 10, but was called off after the sad news Queen Elizabeth II had died two days earlier.

City have lost their last two matches, with the United defeat following a shock EFL Cup exit at the hands of Southampton. They also dropped points to Everton on New Year's Eve as their title ambitions faltered. Spurs have found consistency hard in the league, with three wins from their last nine games.

Antonio Conte and Pep Guardiola are aiming to put their respective derby defeats aside

Manchester City vs Tottenham team news

Ruben Dias is closing in on a return for City from his thigh injury but Thursday is likely to come too early for the defender. His first-choice centre-back partner, John Stones, is also likely to miss out again, but Aymeric Laporte's appearance on the bench against United would suggest he starts here.

Dejan Kulusevski had been struggling with a muscle problem but came through the North London derby, having started. Even better news for Antonio Conte is Rodrigo Betancur should now be ready to start after a groin injury. Lucas Moura remains out with a tendon issue.
